Professor Andrew Kakabadse
Andrew Kakabadse is Professor of International Management Development at Cranfield University School of Management. He is a visiting scholar at Babson College, Boston, at the Center for Creative Leadership, North Carolina, USA and has, at other times, been Visiting Professor at both Hangzhou University, China and at the Australian National University, Canberra.
In addition to his academic work, Andrew has consulted to boards and governments internationally including Russia, China, Australia, the UK and the US with particular emphasis on governance and the dynamics of senior teams. He has also advised extensively on conflict resolution and international relations. His most recent research into the role of Chairmanship, undertaken in the UK, US and Australia, will be presented early in 2007.
Andrew has agreed to be an Advisor to Manchester Square in the light of their respect for his expertise as a psychologist, his leadership in the field of management development and for the depth of his knowledge and consulting skills on the subject of senior team dynamics.
Andrew is a prolific author. Amongst his 26 published titles, his books include 'Essence of Leadership' (now in its 3rd reprint); 'The Wealth Creators: Top People, Top Teams and Executive Best Practice'; 'Politics of Management' and 'Working in Organisations'. His most recent publications are 'Geopolitics of Governance', 'Smart Sourcing: International Best Practice' , 'Corporate Social Responsibility: Reconciling Aspiration with Application' and 'Governance, Strategy and Policy: Seven Critical Essays' .
Andrew is the Editor of the Journal of Management Development and Corporate Governance; The International Journal of Business in Society; Associate Editor of the Journal of Leadership and Organisation Development; and is on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Managerial Psychology.
