Kate Donaghy
After 14 years as a Headhunter, initially with Whitehead Mann, in 2001 Kate shifted her focus from the transactional nature of search to that of advising senior clients on their individual careers.
As a Partner at Manchester Square, Kate advises Board Members as they move between roles in various phases of their careers. Clients include the larger listed and unlisted companies as well as Partners in the major professional services firms. Kate is also responsible for developing the firm’s activity in Director Development.
Kate trained as a Barrister, and was called as a Member of Gray’s Inn in 1987. She is a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies with an LLB specialising in Chinese and Japanese law. Her schooling was at convents in Belfast and Berkshire. On leaving school, Kate worked for seven years as a Nurse and then Midwife in Belfast, London and Hong Kong.
In addition, Kate is on the Board of the Arvon Foundation, the foundation for writers. She is also on the Development Committees of Concertina, a small charity bringing music into homes for the elderly and of the Cardinal Hume Centre, a centre working with homelessness in Westminster.
